How to Play

You’ll secretly join a team of Girls or Ghouls, locked in a battle for the cul-de-sac. Win by:

  • Flipping neighborhood houses to show your team face-up.
  • Leading trick-or-treaters to your houses with appetizing candy—and away from your opponents’ with duds like toothpaste.

Step 1: Learn Your Identity

Your secret Identity card determines your team and objectives.

Your team earns points by leading Trick-or-Treaters to the safety—or danger—of your houses. At the end of each round, the kids will flock to the house with the best offering of candy.

Step 2: Influence the Neighborhood

Treats are played face-up to lure or deter the Trick-or-Treaters (the points).

Tricks are played face-down to secretly manipulate the houses or tamper with their Treats—but they aren't revealed until the end of the round.

Sacrifice a card to peek at a house’s Tricks—know what's coming and stay one step ahead.

Step 3: Activate the Tricks

The round ends when all cards have been played—the Tricks are revealed, which can turn the neighborhood upside-down.

Step 4: Score and Secure

Trick-or-Treaters flock to the house with the best treats (the most orange cubes)—the team that controls it scores the points and claims the house for good.

Step 5: Victory!

After three rounds, bonus points are awarded for every house your team still holds—the team with the highest score wins!

How It's Different

Girls vs Ghouls has all the suspense of a hidden-identity game—without the social pressure.

Victory comes from what you do on the board—
You’ll still question who’s on your side, but you'll win through your actions, not your arguments.

You’ll play for your team, but act on your own—
Since no one can prove who you are, no one can take over or dictate your moves.

Each round is a balance of what’s seen and what’s secret—
Your visible Treats draw attention while your hidden Tricks lie in wait, ready to turn the neighborhood upside-down.

You can bluff if you want to, but it’s never required—
Talk a big game, stay silent, or play somewhere in between—ultimately it’s your actions that will win the night.
